Cookie Dough Truffles- YUM!

February 14, 2011

My Momma played Cupid this year, by making and delivering homemade goodies to friends and family! She made these Cookie Dough Truffles (she found the recipe in our local newspaper), and they are way TOO yummy, not to share the recipe with you! :)

Corinne Le's Cookie Dough Truffles

Ingredients:
1/2 cup Butter, softened
3/4 cup packed Brown Sugar
2 cups All-Purpose Flour
1 (14-ounce) can Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1/2 cup Miniature Semisweet Chocolate Chips
1/2 cup Chopped Walnuts (optional)
Candy Coating/Semisweet Chocolate Chips

Cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the flour, milk and vanilla; mix well. Stir in the chocolate chips and walnuts.

Shape into 60 1-inch balls; place on waxed paper-lined baking sheets. Loosely cover and refrigerate for 1-2 hours or until firm.

In a bowl, melt candy coating, stirring often until smooth. Dip balls in coating; place on baking sheets. Refrigerate until firm, at least 15 minutes. If desired, re-melt remaining coating and drizzle over candies.

Store in the refrigerator.

Makes 5 dozen (60)

  6. It sounds amazing, I love cookie dough, but I'm a bit afraid of the flour - it's not baked, right? Is the brown sugar dissolved in the cookie dough or you can feel small pieces of it? Because I always feel the pieces of it in my dough (but there I don't mind as it's then baked into cookies)- or shall I use some super fine brown sugar?

  11. YUM! These look soo good! Very similar to my cookie dough balls, I think. Except, I did not have the patience to wait for them to freeze and dip in chocolate before eating- haha! :)
