Happy Sunday!

Just popping in to let you all know that I'm aware that my blog has been neglected! :( This past week I've been posting semi-regularly to Squirmy Worm Studio's Facebook page, as I can post a photo with a quick blurp without having to stress over a 'post'. It may seem silly to some, but I really do tend to stress over my blog posts as I want to come across as 'me', as well as making sure the content is relateable to most.

Anyways, the point of the post is to announce that I NOW see the rage over Twitter...140 characters and you're done! At this point I have no intentions of opening a Twitter account, as there is no need to repeat myself via my blog, Facebook, and Twitter, however you might be seeing more frequent Twitter-like blog posts in the near future! Any objections? :)

Market Research- Results!

Thank you all so very much for taking the time to vote for the products which you would be most inclined to buy online! In a week's time 48 votes were cast (yeah!)...and the top three favorites are Diaper Clutch (21%), Wet Bag (17%), and Nursing Cover-Up (15%). The three least popular were Notions (2%), Burp Cloth Kits (4%), and Fabric (6%).

P.S.- I finished a nursing cover-up over the weekend (a photo is posted on Squirmy Worm Studio's Facebook page if you are interested!). :) This week's task is to design a great and functional diaper clutch for the mom on-the-go. TGIF!

Thank Goodness It's Friday!!!




Tonight Mr. D and I have a home cooked dinner and movie night planned (it's my turn to pick the rental); I'm so excited to be watching a movie rather than wishing there was something halfway decent to watch on TV!

With the lack of quality TV programs on Friday night, I always think back to my childhood. Monday through Thursday evenings were spent finishing homework, at swim practice, and at sewing lessons. Our extracurricular activities left little time for time in front of the television (thank you Momma!). Everything changed when Friday rolled around as the family gathered in front of the TV, with snacks in hand, to watch ABC's TGIF line up (circa late 80's - mid 90's). Remember Perfect Strangers, Full House, Mr. Belvedere, Family Matters, Dinosaurs, Boy Meets World, Step by Step, Sister Sister, Hangin' With Mr. Cooper, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch?

So many good times and great memories- which show was your favorite TGIF program (mine was a toss up between Full House, Boy Meets World, and Step by Step!)?

Truth be told, I've had my eye on Riley Blake fabric from the get go (I should preface by saying that I've never been a fan of baby-baby fabric...you know what I'm taking about- right?). Market Research...Creating A Store for YOU!

I've been thinking about Squirmy Worm Studio (did I mention that I picked a name on Etsy???), and what I want to provide to my customers. I have my ideas, but I would like to extend the invitation to my readers and Followers to tell me what sort of products you are looking to buy on Etsy. If you're willing to help, please take a glance a the big green rectangle in the right-hand column. Please check the three things you would be most likely to buy online, and then simply press 'vote' (blue text) at the bottom of the box. I'll leave the poll open for a week, and then post the results...this should be fun! :)

Note: It's been brought to my attention that my long winded product descriptions were cut short in the poll...so here they are in all their glory (just in case you were wondering what I was really getting at!).

Which three things would you be most inclined to buy online?
1. Burp Cloths (white 6-ply burp cloths adorned with decorative fabric and ric rac).
2. Burp Cloth Kits (white 6-ply burp cloths + fabric + ric rac + instructions for the crafty mom/grandma/aunt/friend).
3. Nursing Cover-Ups (cotton privacy shields with an adjustable strap and boning, allowing a continuous view of your little one).
4. Diaper Clutch (special clutch for the mom on the go…holds a couple diapers and a wipes case).
5. Wet Bag (cotton zippered bag with waterproof lining for wet diapers/clothes/swim suits).
6. Diaper Bag (cotton bag with interior pockets, and quilt batting sewn between the layers).
7. Fabric (for the crafty mom/grandma/aunt/friend that wants to make their own burp cloths, wet bags, etc.).
8. Notions (ribbon and jumbo ric rac {measuring 1 13/32”}).
9. Crayon Rolls (for the older brothers and sisters- rolls keep crayons neatly organized while on the go and easily fit into mom’s purse/tote bag/diaper bag).
